Recognize Your Best
Give Them the Opportunity of a Lifetime
The All Star Invitational Marching Band provides a platform for today’s top marching students to share their talents. Members of the 2014 All Star Invitational Marching Band will perform at the Orange Bowl under the direction of such well-known directors as Dr. Ken Dye (Notre Dame Fighting Irish Band), Barry Bernhardt, (Florida International University Marching Band), Jim Hudson (Arizona Sun Devil Marching Band), and others*.
Students who wish to participate in the All Star Invitational Marching Band must first be nominated by their music director. All students who participate in the All Star Invitational Marching Band have the opportunity to earn free academic credit through our Discovery for Credit program. Upon nomination, students are invited to apply for selection into the program. As a music director, you can nominate your best and most dedicated students, and open the door to the performance opportunity of a lifetime.
*Please note that directors’ participation is contingent on the performance of their schools’ football programs.
Who Should I Nominate?
Directors from around the country and abroad are being asked to nominate their most accomplished musicians for participation. We are accepting nominations for the January 2014 Orange Bowl performance in South Florida. Nominated students must be in grades 9-12 during the 2013-2014 school year to be eligible. Brass, woodwind, percussion, color guard, and baton twirling students will be considered for the All Star Invitational Marching Band. You may nominate as many students as you like.
On behalf of the All Star Invitational Marching Band and all of the educators supporting it, thank you for your support in helping us identify the best performers of today.
